"You know I’ve fished a lot of tip ups but none of them match up to a Beaver Dam. When you buy one - it’s yours for life. The quality that goes in them is second to none!"
John Gillespie started his television career as a sportscaster and worked in TV newsrooms from 1972 thru 1990. In 1990 he decided to end his newsroom career and start his own Outdoor show, JOHN GILLESPIE'S WATERS & WOODS. The unique aspect of his program was to produce 52 new and current programs every year. This past spring he celebrated his 1000th consecutive show without ever airing a repeat. John's entertaining on air style sets him apart from the other outdoor shows. He himself portrays the average angler going on a fishing trip with an expert. He employs some of the biggest fishing names in the midwest such as Pete Maina. These regular co-hosts take John all over the Upper Midwest and Canada on a quest for big fish.
"I put my gear through the paces on my show and I don’t have time to have it fail- Beaver Dams NEVER do. And their entire rod line up has made my days on the ice a lot more fun. The Titanium Tip Stick is two rods in one so I can switch from panfish to Whitefish without the need for excess gear. That means I can be more mobile on the water and find more fish."
Outdoor Bound TV is a Regional hunting and fishing show that airs on Midwestern ABC Stations and features hunters and fisherman from across the Midwest as they pursue their passion for the outdoors across the country and around the World.
"I don’t have time for tip ups that work less than perfectly all the time. You get that with Beaver Dam."

"Pike fishing is in our name and we chase them all ice season long. When it comes to tip-ups, we’ve tried them all. No matter the conditions, nothing has held up better than our Beaver Dam tip-ups… In fact I still have some my great-grandfather used! Now that’s quality you don’t get in other products."

"As a guide who spends a ton of time on the ice with big groups of clients, the last thing you need is for a tip up to fail. You just can’t have them freeze up and Beaver Dam only uses quality assemblies- so they don’t. I can spend more time then putting clients on fish and NO time fixing problems with inferior gear."

"Beaver Dam makes the best tip ups on earth, but our rods are great too. Specific tapers on the Carbon and Noodle series let a person adjust to any technique out there. The Tip Stick is the only rod on the market with an extendable titanium spring bobber and they really says something. It’s two rods in one!"
